David Preusch Architect is an established firm specializing in residential projects. We shepherd a project from site planning and building design through construction by intimate involvement in all aspects of the work. Our expertise extends from site planning and design to interior architecture including kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry and millwork.
We work principally in Fairfield County, Connecticut, but have completed projects as far south as an oceanfront penthouse in Palm Beach and as far north as a ski house in Vermont. In addition to new construction, we specialize in work on existing and historic homes. Completed outbuildings include pool houses, galleries, garages, and recreation lodges.
We strive to identify and respect the unique goals of each client. Working with our firm assures the personal attention and commitment of Principal Architect David Preusch throughout your project. Our practice has grown through referrals and repeat assignments; client confidence is demonstrated by our continuous work on individual properties over a period of years.
A graduate of Cornell University, David has an extensive background in corporate, institutional and residential architecture in a career spanning over 30 years. A native of New Canaan, Connecticut, his experience includes practice in the offices of two of the most recognized early modernists of New Canaan: Victor Christ-Janer and Eliot Noyes.
David has been noted for his expertise in working with historic homes, and has appeared successfully before local Historic District Commissions over fifty times. He has served as a moderator and lecturer for the Westport Historical Society's Old House School. Several of his projects have been recently recognized for local historic preservation awards.
We are located in downtown Westport, Connecticut on the Saugatuck River, convenient to both major highways. We'll be happy to meet with you to discuss your project.
